Trespassers....gone

Tressie died from eggbinding yesterday. We'll miss her. She may have been a little odd in the head but we loved her so much. Poor Trespassers, she was so beautiful and tragic looking with her big, sad eyes.

  3. I just found your blog today. I am sorry to hear about your hen. I know what you mean. I'm kinda attached to my kids, too. I'd like to check your blog out from time to time if it's oaky.

  4. Good-bye Trespassers.*sniff*

Since I don't know a lot about chickens*which means almost nothing!*what is eggbinding?

Oh! When I was young there were chickens where my dad works! They laid HUGE eggs too! We would take the eggs also because they laid so many every day!

Sorry..that was nothing to do with Trespassers dying...I'm sorry for your loss.

  5. Eggbinding is when a hen can't lay her egg. Extremely unpleasant for the hen!
